→ Coachella Lineup Is Released, Rumor Mill Comes To A Grinding Halt…
First things first.
The Coachella lineup was finally announced! (I’ll refrain from using the nine additional exclamation points I’d like to stick behind that.)

The Friday headliner is Paul McCartney, Saturday is headlined by The Killers, and The Cure round out the last headlining spot for Sunday.

Glasvegas managed to nail down a spot on Saturday.

The Coachella festival begins on Friday, April 17^th and runs through Sunday, April 19^th.

→ The Gaslight Anthem take on The Late Show…
New Jersey band, The Gaslight Anthem, are on their way to becoming a big deal so if you’re the dude who likes to get in on the ground floor with things, now’s the time to assert your allegiance to this band.
In addition to playing a Sunday gig at Coachella, they’ll be on The Late Show with David Letterman tonight (which is Friday).
Letterman airs at 11:30 pm on CBS in most areas, but be sure to check your local listings.

→ Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit Gear Up For Tour, New CD Release…
Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit are hitting the road in support of the follow-up to 2007′s Sirens Of the Ditch. The new album, appropriately titled Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, is set to be released on February 17^th, and the tour kicks off on February 12^th in Isbell’s home state of Alabama.

→ Nathan Angelo Needs A Woman…
Nathan Angelo is beginning to explore his street cred. He’s just posted a new song, called “I Need A Woman”, on his MySpace page. It’s a little bit grittier and a whole lot sexier than the tracks from his debut album, Through Playing Me.

Nathan Angelo is currently working on his second album. No official word on whether or not “I Need A Woman ” will make the track list.

Perhaps I’m just not good at listening or maybe I’m woefully uncultured, but “Flowers & Football Tops” was one of the songs I had to Google lyrics for.
I’m glad I did. It’s a sad song. I had no idea.

Fun Glasvegas Fact: Drummer Caroline McKay stands to play her drums and at the show I saw her play, she also played barefoot.

→ Coachella…
Like many people, I have been living, breathing, and tapping a vein for the Coachella lineup. 2009 marks the festival’s ten year anniversary and there have been some exciting speculations about headliners and even sub-headliners– and even sub-sub-headliners, really. But I’m going to spare you all of that because all of the fake posters and false starts have turned me into a mess of anticipation.

If you are someone who hates themselves (even if only slightly), the Coachella rumor mill is in full effect. Proceed with caution, and know that the lineup posted on Facebook is a very convincing but totally fake poster.
