» Thom Yorke Unveils Remix Online

November 5th found Thom Yorke in a celebratory sort of mood.
To commemorate the birthday of his Radiohead bandmate, Jonny Greenwood, as well as the election of the 44th POTUS, Thom did as he does and took to the Radiohead website to post some music, along with the message:
did i fall or was i pushed?
in celebration of nov 5th
jonnys burthday
amid bonfire and fireworks in the UK
and the dawn of a new era in politics in the USA
i humbly donate a remix of harrowdown hill that was finished ages ago during the band webcasts,
a small reminder of the dark days of Bush’s….
x
The featured track is a remix of The Eraser‘s “Harrowdown Hill”, which Yorke has chosen to call “tchk harrowdown jump rmx”.
With the promise of hope came free donuts, coffee, vibrators, and new music from Thom Yorke.
Change is looking to be a very good thing.

» Kings Of Leon Video Premiere: “Use Somebody”
I have a very real and unapologetic love for five of the songs from Only By the Night, the fourth album from Kings Of Leon. The four Followill boys from Tennessee have just premiered the video for their newest single (and one of the best songs on the album), “Use Somebody”, on their MySpace page.
The video follows the band through various cities (or maybe just one city), various live shows (or maybe just one live show), into their dressing room, and through a slightly intimate, mostly random love scene between Caleb Followill and a brunette girl (or maybe various brunette girls– we never really see her face).
Oh. And there’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it underwear shot right around the three minute mark.
