Yes. Julia Nunes is a YouTube superstar. But she’s not one of those YouTube sensations. Julia is who you call for a good time– if a “good time” really does mean having a good time and not scrubbing your nether regions with a Brillo Pad the next morning. She’s the kind of girl who you may need a few minutes to process before you realize she is probably the most positive person you’ll encounter all day. Julia has been our ray of sunshine this week– and she doesn’t know it. Which makes us creepy.
With over 50 YouTube videos of original and cover songs, it’s easy to get caught up in her happy world of ukuleles and melodicas. She’s opened a few shows for Ben Folds and has two CDs under her belt. From what we’ve gathered from her Q&A videos, we now know that she’s in college, she sacrifices many weekends to go play shows for fans and college students, and if you think her room is messy, there’s another girl you should take that up with– or you should focus less on sounding like Mom and worry more about letting Julia Nunes turn that frown of yours upside-down.
