“Don’t Let Go,” by Ayda

Sometimes music is more than just a few notes and chords. Some songs represent the bookmarks of our lives. They speak to us when we can’t speak for ourselves, and sometimes they say the things we’re not eloquent enough to express without a little help.

This is where we expose your secrets.

If you’re feeling brave and the exhibitionist in you is feeling a little stifled, send your songs and stories to us at editor@audioholicmedia.com. We will post them here. For the world to see.

“Don’t Let Go” by Ayda

Written by Ayda:

“Don’t Let Go” was written in about 15 minutes the 8th of April 2009. It has a special meaning to me since it reflects upon a certain moment during my visit to my hometown Gothenburg Sweden.

It’s a love song, obviously, about two people who have broken up and then met each other again at some point.
For this girl, there wouldn’t be any point of denying the love she hides either because its obvious. And so she surrenders to it.
It goes out to the point where she forgets everything else, and wonders why she had been holding herself back for so long when this was what she truly wanted.
“Was trapped once now I’m trapped in your flames”.
The flames eventually become too much to deal with, and she knows she shouldn’t stay. She cant be with him and she’s forced to battle with her mind and her heart. Knowing what’s best for her she still can’t let go.

I thought I would share this one with you watching. I guess I just wanted you to have an insight of who I am.
Hope you like the video.
