Causers of This is Toro Y Moi‘s latest release and hit the digital shelves this week. If you want to grab the physical copy, then you have to wait just a little bit longer. The original release date for the hardcopy was set for February 23rd but it has recently been pushed up to the 2nd. In support of his first full-length album, Toto Y Moi will start touring in March.
If you’ve encountered the blog of Toro Y Moi, then it’s apparent that his creativity stems from a slew of photographs and whatever other fragmented thoughts occur to him. The low-fi tunes that make up Causers of This speak just like an assortment of those chopped-up thoughts and create tracks that you would expect to hear through dying radio signals in a post-apocalyptic world. This style of synth-pop has a way of lagging in certain areas but always seems to pull through in the end.
