Parisian band, Phoenix would like you to know that they are back. To commemorate their back-ness and the subsequent revival of their official website, the band have leaked the song “1901″ onto the Internets for fans and enemies alike. As a free download, “1901″ is our first real taste of the band’s newest album, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix (see what they did there?).

Why “1901″? Who knows? Maybe it was a good year. Maybe it’s someone’s PIN number. Maybe I need to listen to the lyrics more carefully. Phoenix tend not to dwell too much in predictability.
