Mean Creek Hit the Road In Support of The Sky (or the Underground)

Four-piece Bostonian band Mean Creek are taking to the East Coast for a few dates in December to promote their second album, The Sky (or the Underground) (Old Flame Records). Originally assembled in 2006 by singer/guitarists Chris Keene and Aurore Ounjian, Mean Creek derive their name from what sounds like a possibly terrifying 2004 film. Their music, however, is far less disturbing than the band’s namesake, blending folk-tinged melodies, rock elements, harmonies and introspective lyrics into songs which glide easily from genre to genre as the album progresses.
