Local Natives Will Release Gorilla Manor In the U.S.


Though their debut album, Gorilla Manor (named after the house the band members once shared in Los Angeles), made its debut in November in the U.K. (via Infectious Records), the album got tangled in the politics of the industry when it came time to discuss its U.S. release. After finding a home with Frenchkiss Records in late November, the band announced that Gorilla Manor will be available in North America on February 16th of next year.

Self-funded and produced by Raymond Richards in West L.A., the band’s official debut offers twelve tracks as well as an idea of what band members Andy Hamm and Matt Frazier are capable of artistically, as they are responsible for the Gorilla Manor album art. Local Natives have only two shows left in the U.S. (tonight and tomorrow in Oregon) before they fly to Europe until March.
