Introducing: The Features
If you’re from the Southeast region or are familiar with Kings of Leon’s touring partners, then there’s a good chance you’ve heard something from The Features. The Nashville band have made a pretty big name for themselves over the past few years in the UK and are starting to become a trend within the Nashville scene after recently winning the 8 Off 8th: Road to Bonnaroo contest which landed them a spot at the 2009 music festival.
Bug Music and Kings of Leon worked on a joint venture to create a label imprint where the band could help hand-pick artists of their liking. The Features were the first act to be signed to the imprint. Shortly after, their latest album, Some Kind of Salvation, was released:
The band have a history dating way before Bug Music, Kings of Leon, and that time your friend told you to “listen to this really cool band.” All that aside, The Features have been together since 1997 and because of that, have managed to make quirky pop-rock music a very confident genre.
