Who am I kidding? What I’m trying to say is that the ingredients that make up The Dead Weather are pretty fucking sweet. Jack White never ceases to amaze us and this time he has done it again.
Allison Mosshart of The Kills plays frontwoman to this new dark band unveiled by Third Man Records. Jack White offers his drum and vocal skills, and Jack Lawrence from The Raconteurs plays bass. It wasn’t long after this trio tinkered around in the Third Man Recording Studio in Nashville that Jack White called upon Dean Fertita from Queens Of The Stone Age to follow suit with his unique guitar skills.
“Hang You From The Heavens” is the band’s first single and expresses that The Dead Weather mean business. These choppy electric sounds come at you in a very haunting and threatening way. If a song could sneak up and attack you in an alleyway, I think it would be this song:
