Introducing: Fences

If you ran into Chris Mansfield on the street, the man known as Fences, you might clutch your purse to your side or check your back pocket to make sure you still have your wallet. He’s a decorated individual who sports a number of jail tats.
If you had to define Grunge from a visual standpoint, you might start with Fences. If you take a listen before you judge (because judging isn’t cool), you’ll see a different side to this one-man band. Sporting an acoustic guitar rather than a switchblade, Chris Mansfield dips into that deeper side of a person we’re always curious about.
After battling a round of alcoholism which landed him in rehab, Mansfield has decided to clean up his act and try to focus on what he was obviously put on this earth to do:
The title of his latest EP, The Ultimate Puke, seems to correlate with the same image that he represents for himself, and that is misrepresentation of his music. We all judge a book by its cover, there’s no need to lie about that. But when you dive into that book and see that something more is in there, then you appreciate the payoff. Don’t judge this EP by its cover or you might miss out on something you could have loved.
