Nate Ruess and Andrew Dost of the band fun. recently stopped by the Daytrotter studio to record acoustic versions of three tracks from their album Aim and Ignite. “Benson Hedges,” “All the Pretty Girls” and “The Gambler” are the songs featured and available for free download, just in time for the holidays! So feel free (no pun) to splurge and get something nice for yourself this week. You deserve it.
Though the songs have been refashioned for an acoustic composition, they still manage to maintain their original charm, highlighting Ruess’ fun and cerebral lyrics and Dost’s talents on the piano. Photos of the Daytrotter session can be seen here.
In addition to the free and acoustic tracks offered on Daytrotter, Amie Street is offering Aim and Ignite for just $5 during the month of December.
