Free Music: WHY? , Princeton, Deer Tick

WHY?: A group of Cincinnati natives who integrate a variety of sound for your listening pleasure. This band’s lyrics sting just as much as their melodies.

Preview: “The Hollows”
First Impression: Performance poetry evolution
Listen To: When William S. Burroughs’ Naked Lunch doesn’t seem to hit the spot like it used to.
»Save It: “The Hollows”

Preview: “This Blackest Purse”
First Impression: A creepy lullaby infused track with trance-like elements.
Listen To: When you’re the only drunk in the room.
»Save It: “This Blackest Purse”

Princeton: Princeton is twin brothers Jesse and Matt Kivel, Ben Usen and David Kitz. This is a band that sounds a little older than they really are. Maturity isn’t a bad thing.

Preview: “Calypso Gold”
First Impression: A simple song with unique arrangements.
Listen To: Through your ear buds when someone takes you to the opera (if you don’t like the opera).
»Save It: “Calypso Gold”

Deer Tick: Formed in 2004, Deer Tick evolved into a hard-hitting traditional rock group.

Preview: “Easy”
First Impression: Not as easy on the ears as the track name suggests (but who wants an easy listen all the time?).
Listen To: When you run out of brandy and still want one more drink.
»Save It: “Easy”
