Cymbals Eat Guitars Reveal List of Tour Dates
Cymbals Eat Guitars were used to having to convince only Staten Island of their talent (even though they did so by solely covering Weezer?) but are now expanding their music within a wider demographic, such as the indie scene as opposed to groupie night at the local karaoke bar (which isn’t anything to be embarrassed about because, well— Weezer!).
The quartet know indie rock well and are giving the scene something more than just noise to listen to, which is uncommon in today’s industry where any joker can smoke out their parents’ garage and clang instruments together like a monkey. Whether they’re carrying their lyrical weight in tracks such as “Like Blood Does,” reminiscent of the likes of Brand New (pre-anger management), or proving their ability to take you on audible journeys like in “Some Trees,” it’s easy to see that the band’s latest album Why There Are Mountains will become a go-to point for bands looking for a standard.
After playing at Monolith Festival and CMJ, the band is continuing on their festival outings and making an appearance in Spain’s Primavera Club Music Festival as well as Austin’s SXSW. Be sure to catch Cymbals Eat Guitars live in concert at any one of the following dates:
