Broken Bells Prep For First Tour

Separately, James Mercer and Brian Burton (AKA Danger Mouse) are two guys with very impressive lists of musical projects they’ve been a part of in the past. Combined, these two are Broken Bells, a new and already popular indie rock act. Each having an extensive musical resume, it’s assumed that Mercer and Burton can bring a lot to the table — and they do. When listening to their self-titled album, you’ll hear the likes of guitars, bass, organs, drums, pianos and synths (no bells?), interestingly arranged to bring you a smooth and comfortable rock sound.
If you attended SXSW this year, then there’s no excuse to not be familiar with the band, although not being familiar with the music will still be excusable seeing how it was nearly impossible to see Broken Bells live due to the large crowd they seemed to draw in. (For the record, we saw them.)
If you’re already a fan, or would like to see what all the fuss is about, Broken Bells are getting ready for their very first tour. Be sure to grab your tickets in advance! Here are a list of the dates:
