Bobby Long Hits the Studio and Announces Full U.S. Tour
If you venture over to Bobby Long’s official MySpace page, his headline currently reads “Recording.” True to his word (i.e. the one in his MySpace headline), the English folk rocker is currently holed up in Toe Rag Studios in London recording the EP that will bridge the gap between Long’s self-described “bootleg album,” Dirty Pond Songs, and his forthcoming full-length studio album. Produced by Liam Watson and with the addition of a band to back Long’s guitar, harmonica, and vocals, all of the tracks are being recorded in analog format. So that is something to be excited about, audiophiles.
The currently untitled EP is set to be at least five tracks in length, and all five of those tracks are complete and in the mixing process.
No word yet on when these new songs will be available, so be sure to catch Bobby Long on his extensive autumn/winter U.S. tour in the meantime:
